In April 2010, the Board of Directors for each Phase adopted a new parking procedure that requires all owners to display a parking permit to park within the community. Each home is allotted 1 “Permit A” permit and 2 guest permits. Each Phase has slightly different parking rules so please review them below.
Parking permits are transferred from owner to owner. If an owner did not receive parking permits at settlement, or they were not returned from a tenant, that owner will need to purchase new parking permits for their home. New owners are required to fill out a Parking Permit Request form and Emergency Information form before obtaining parking permits. There is a $75.00 replacement charge per permit. Owners are only allowed 3 permits per home. Any lost, stolen or damaged permits will be permanently invalidated. Anyone using invalid parking permits will be towed.
Vehicle Recovery Procedure
Should your vehicle be towed, you will need to contact Fastlane Towing at 240-280-7285 to recover your vehicle. Their lot is located at 14610-B Old Gunpowder Road, Laurel, MD 20707. Vehicles may be recovered between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. – seven days a week. After hours releases are available by appointment. Payment must be made in full (CASH/MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED) at the time of recovery.
Greenbriar’s contract with the towing company requires the contractor to work directly with the vehicle owner. Per our agreement with Fastlane Towing, Greenbriar residents have twenty-four (24) hours to recover their vehicle. No storage fees are permitted to be charged during this time. The tow fee allowed by current Prince George’s County law is $175.00. Storage fees can only be charged after the first calendar day and may not exceed $50.00. In addition, a photo must be taken of your car prior to it being towed from Greenbriar. You are entitled to view this photo upon retrieving your car and paying the tow fee.
Greenbriar does not receive any money from the towing program. Please do not call CVI or the Greenbriar on-site office to recover your vehicle as we are not authorized to release vehicles from impound, nor can we reimburse you for your towing charges.
If you feel that your vehicle was towed in error, you must contact the Prince George’s County Vehicle Audit Department at 301-952-1873 to request a Show Cause Hearing. They will send you the necessary forms to complete in order to schedule a hearing.
